The Downing family have strong roots in Exeter and Devon with a number of us attending Exeter university. The company was started as the ‘student accommodation’ available was not up to scratch, so thirty years ago we bought our first home for students to live in for a family member and their friends. Since then more of us attended the university and more homes were needed and so the company grew.

We pride ourselves on providing the best quality homes for students whilst they study, this means less stress, more fun doing what they want, a home to come back to to study in comfort thus maximising students individual potential.
